AABA invites you to become a member or renew your membership. As a member, you will be part of one of the largest Asian American bar associations in the nation. Membership comes with many benefits:
Earn CLE credits at a Reduced Member Rate
AABA is an Accredited CLE Provider that provides opportunities to earn CLE credits ranging from how to become a judge, to improving litigation skills, to immigration and family law topics that train attorneys to provide pro bono services to Asian immigrants in our legal clinics.
Network with Attorneys and Judges
AABA hosts numerous events giving members the chance to meet colleagues in the legal profession, including happy hours, receptions honoring new Asian American judges, the Lunar New Year celebration, and the annual holiday fundraiser for the AABA Law Foundation.
Help Underrepresented Asian Immigrants
AABA manages the Chinatown Pro Bono Legal Clinic and supports the Asian Human Services legal clinic. We also collaborate with the Indian American and Korean American Bar Associations to train attorneys to provide services in areas of the law that are greatly needed by the local Asian community.
Evaluate Judicial Candidates
AABA investigates, interviews and rates hundreds of candidates for the bench each year through the Alliance of Bar Associations for Judicial Screening.
Mentor Law Students and Young Attorneys
AABA conducts an annual law student forum day to provide an opportunity for law students to learn about many different practice areas and practice settings including law firms, in house counsel, government, public interest and non-traditional careers in the law. Attorneys also provide one-on-one counseling and resume review to students.
Serve on Our Board
Serve on one of our committees or serve as a member of the AABA Board of Directors. Getting involved is the best way to maximize the benefits of your AABA membership, give back to your community, meet other amazing attorneys and have fun! Interested in taking your involvement to the next level? Applications for elected and honorary Board members are due every May.
AABA members can get a free membership to ISBA through June 30, 2017. Anyone interested should email Ann Boucher at email@example.com for an application.
