AABA Condemns the President’s Exclusion of Refugees and his “Muslim Ban”
Dear AABA Chicago members,
Many of us are deeply impacted and upset by the recent executive orders stopping refugees and halting immigration from Muslim-majority countries. AABA Chicago stands by all of our brothers and sisters, and is opposed to discrimination in any form. AABA Chicago is committed to ensuring that all individuals receive their right to equal protection and due process under the law, regardless of race, religion, or country of origin. We will continue to monitor these ongoing developments and provide information and opportunities for attorneys who wish to get involved or provide pro bono services. If any of you need anything, whether you know a family who needs help, or even if you just want a friendly ear to listen, please let us know.
